Advanced Pump Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Best Practices
Course Description
In this 5-day course, participants will gain a strong technical and practical understanding of pumps through the exploration of design features and implications of many pump types, pump systems, pump installation, pump piping, pump sealing, pump maintenance and troubleshooting.
The Training Course Will Highlight ?

Participants will also be taught about centrifugal pumps types and API 610 nomenclatures. Participants will also be taught about pump coupling types. Overview of power transmission will be submitted. Participants will also gain good knowledge about the effect of rotor dynamic balancing & pump piping on pump performance. Participants will be able to avoid the problems of poor piping and bad installations. In general this course provides an in-depth understanding of centrifugal pump fundamentals.

Training Objective

At the end of this course participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of the fundamentals of centrifugal pump.
  • Understand the main features of pump types.
  • Troubleshoot pump malfunction.
  • Maximize pump shutdown intervals.
  • Explain considerations related to the materials used in seal construction.
  • Understand that pump performance can be affected by piping system and rotor balance.
