Day 1: Introduction & System Modeling

  • Overview of ETAP environment and interface
  • Creating a new project and building one-line diagrams
  • Modeling buses, transformers, cables, generators, and loads
  • Data entry and system configuration
  • Basic analyses and project navigation

Day 2: Load Flow & Power System Analysis

  • Load flow theory and objectives
  • Running load flow simulations in ETAP
  • Voltage drop, losses, and system performance evaluation
  • Transformer tap operations and capacitor switching
  • Reporting and interpreting load flow results

Day 3: Short-Circuit Analysis & Equipment Duty

  • Understanding types of short circuits
  • Applying international standards (IEC, IEEE)
  • Running balanced and unbalanced fault studies
  • Evaluating equipment rating and fault duties
  • Case studies on system protection

Day 4: Protection Coordination & Arc Flash Analysis

  • Protective device modeling (relays, breakers, fuses)
  • Time-current characteristic (TCC) curves
  • Protection coordination procedures
  • Arc flash study setup and hazard categories
  • Generating arc flash labels and reports

Day 5: Advanced Studies & Practical Workshops

  • Motor starting and inrush current analysis
  • Harmonic analysis and filtering basics
  • Unbalanced load and reliability studies
  • Hands-on case studies and project simulations
  • Final project presentation and review
Accreditation

RECTUS attendance certificate will be awarded to all participants who complete at least 80% of the total course duration.
